The psychometric evaluation used 148 inpatient children and adolescents from one of two urban facilities out of the southern region. Their ages were between 8 and 17 years. 78% boys and 22% girls. 57% white, 39% black, and 4% other. DSM-III diagnoses of conduct disorder (N=65), major depression (N=23), adjustment disorder (N=18), dysthymic disorder (N=16), atypical psychosis (N=8), attention deficit disorder (N=6), schizophrenic disorders (N=2), and pervasive development disorders (N=1).
